about Icaro & Giovanna
Giovanna Silveira is from Bahia. Icaro Abreu is from Minas Gerais.
They began their partnership in 2022, teaching classes together in several cities in Brazil, such as Salvador, Itaúnas, Brasília, Petrolina, Rio de Janeiro, … they were Champions of the 1st Forró Tournament held by Buraco do Tatu in Itaúnas (2022).
Their classes focus on the cultural aspect of forró, specially the union between the university and roots styles, always working within the idea of dance as a dialogue with autonomy and responsibility for both of them.
